Through the generosity of the Drew Friedman Community Arts Center Foundation (DFCAC), the Westport Arts Center announces new need-based art scholarships available to students in Westport, Connecticut.
One needs-based scholarship in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded to an outgoing high school senior who will be attending an arts-based college program in Fall 2018. Students can apply by completing the application below. Applications for the high school scholarship were due by April 30. 2018; the application is now closed.
Secondly, scholarships are available for individual weeks of the Westport Arts Center’s Summer Camp program. Summer Camp features week-long workshops for ages 4-12, with morning sessions dedicated to ages 4-7 and afternoon sessions designed for ages 8-12. Scholarship applicants must demonstrate financial need. To initiate the process for either the high school or summer camp scholarship opportunity, applicants must contact the Town of Westport’s Human Services Department at 203-341-1050 to make an appointment for scholarship consideration.
